Recently refurbished cottage with many original features providing relaxed comfort for the discerning weekender or those in need of a battery recharge. Period features retained to ensure that the character of this old fisherman's cottage remains intact. Everything you expect from a characterful cottage but updated, centrally heated and refurbished to provide comfort and relaxing atmosphere.

Pilchards is a special hideaway for those seeking a memorable stay, just 50 yards from the head of Noss Creek on the River Yealm and 15 minutes from a fabulous sandy beach at Mothecombe.
This charming 18th century holiday cottage lies within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with excellent walks direct from the front door.
Many facilities in the village include two local pubs, launching place for your kayak or canoe, tennis courts, children's playground, village green with adjoining woodland walk.

The tidal estuary of the River Yealm laps the foreshore where gig boats and small watercraft launch. Bring your canoe and paddle up the estuary! Become part of the village - meet with the locals – two waterside welcoming pubs within a stone's throw – youngsters love crabbing from the quay - why not participate in the infamous Summer Regatta (Finals and Fireworks 5-6 August)
